Here we were delighted with close-up views of White-faced Heron, Little Egret, Collared Kingfisher and even the elusive Mangrove Gerygone, one with a band on its leg. The wetlands can also be accessed from Nudgee Road, Nudgee Directions: Go to Nudgee Beach and the end of the 'main' street, the wetlands canoe trail starts here and the boardwalk is well sign-posted
